Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 May 2026

The short version

I collect as little as I can. Your email if you ask for the checklist or my newsletter. Your message if you use the contact form. Your order details when you buy the Playbook. I do not sell your data, and I do not track you with cookies. You can ask me to show or delete what I hold at any time.

Who is responsible for your data

I am. Arlette Vonk, a Dutch sole proprietorship, an eenmanszaak, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 42050733, contact arlette@arlettevonk.com. Under the GDPR, I am the data controller for the personal data described here.

What I collect, and why

I keep this short on purpose. I collect data in three situations.

When you sign up for the Monday Morning Checklist or my emails

I collect your email address, and your name if you give it. I use it to send you the checklist and occasional emails about my work and The Vonk Playbook. The legal basis is your consent. You give it through a double opt-in, which means you confirm by clicking a link in an email. You can withdraw it at any time. See "Your rights" below.

When you use the contact form

I collect your name, email address, the message you send, and your organisation if you add it. I use this only to read and reply to you. The legal basis is your consent and my legitimate interest in answering people who contact me.

When you buy The Vonk Playbook

The purchase is processed by my merchant of record, Gumroad. Gumroad collects your payment and billing details. I do not see or store your card details. Gumroad passes me limited order information, such as your name, email address, and country, so I can deliver the product and keep proper records. The legal basis is the performance of our contract and my legal obligation to keep business records.

Analytics

I use Plausible to understand how many people visit the website and which pages they read. Plausible is privacy-focused. It does not use cookies, it does not collect personal data, and it does not follow you across other websites. The numbers I see are anonymous and aggregated.

Cookies

This website does not set tracking cookies. If you go through checkout, Gumroad may set its own cookies on Gumroad's pages to run the payment securely. Those are covered by Gumroad's own privacy policy.

Who else handles your data

To run this business I work with a small number of trusted providers. They process data on my instructions.

  • Gumroad (Gumroad, Inc.), my merchant of record, which processes purchases.
  • MailerLite, my email service, based in the European Union. It holds the email list.
  • Netlify, which hosts this website and runs the contact form.
  • Plausible, my privacy-focused analytics tool.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. Some may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, it is done under the safeguards the GDPR requires. I do not sell your data, and I do not share it with anyone for advertising.

How long I keep your data

I keep your data only as long as I need it. Email list data stays until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove it. Contact form messages are kept while they are relevant, then deleted. Order records are kept for as long as Dutch tax law requires, which is currently seven years.

Your rights

The GDPR gives you clear rights over your data. You can ask me to:

  • show you the data I hold about you
  • correct it if it is wrong
  • delete it
  • limit how I use it
  • send it to you in a portable form
  • stop using it, and withdraw any consent you gave

To use any of these, email me at arlette@arlettevonk.com. I will respond within one month. If you believe I have handled your data poorly, you can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Children

This website and The Vonk Playbook are made for working professionals. They are not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy as the business grows. The current version always lives on this page, with the date at the top.

For anything about your data, or this policy, email arlette@arlettevonk.com.

Trust is the only workaround that never fails.
